Everything is looking really good for the MFRs to go on sale on Friday. I've got a bunch ready to ship right now, so most likely they'll be for sale sometime Friday morning. Thanks
MFR Back on sale for a little longer
Fri, September 24th, 2010
The current batch will probably last until tomorrow (Saturday) afternoon... maybe later. Once they sell out, it will only be another couple weeks to get the rest of the parts for a nice big batch to last a while. I'm getting there...
I apologize for my lack of communication... things are crazy. I just changed jobs, and the new one is taking a lot more time.
Anyway, I got the first batch of V2.0 yesterday. It's not a very big batch but it is something. I will be assembling them starting tomorrow(Monday) and hope to have them for sale by Thursday or Friday. If they sell out quick, don't worry... I'll be receiving another batch the following week. Make sure you're on the notification list, so you get an email the day before they go on sale. More to come.
Just in case anyone likes this stuff. This is a video of an MFR getting machined. The Production Machine will do all of this in about a 8th the time... and wont require me standing there changing the tools. Thank goodness.
Something I've been wantin' to do, and it's been requested a few times... is to make a silver MFR available. I figure it might appeal mostly to HV20 users to match their camera. Black will still be available. Let me know what you think.
As for an update. I will be sending out a few replacement MFRs next week, and hope to have them up for sale by the end of July. I'm in the process of bringing the manufacturing in house, so availability is going to be limited for the next month or so... but once I'm up and running, I'll never sell out again.
Yeah, so I'm really sorry to anyone that worried about me, for even a second. I'm not stuck in the UK, and everything is fine. Thanks to all of you that emailed me letting me know about it.
This was a good reminder to always use strong passwords, and change them often... and never use the same password for your email account as you use for facebook, myspace, forums, etc. I used the same password on facebook as my email account and that's what they got.
Strange thing... Gmail is supposed to alert me when there is unusual activity on my account (see image below) I never got anything.
All IP addresses from the US, and then one from Nigeria... not unusual enough? Oh well, I'm still a fan of Gmail, but it doesn't look like that feature works very well.
Everything is going super slow. I'm trying to get version 2.0 released, which changed the manufacturing process a little... and took a nice chunk of change to get going... but its looking like I'm going to get the first few out next week. I won't be able to open it up for public sales next week unfortunately, but I'm working on it. More info to come.
